We regret to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to go ahead with the charity shows on 17th and 18th of September. The CRS remains committed to supporting both charities and we are aiming to reschedule the shows in early 2011.

Presto Ballet Cancel - arK tour reduced

Unfortunately we recently received the news from Kurdt Vanderhoof of Presto Ballet that the band will not now be able to come to the UK in September. This is due to the sudden departure of their lead singer, which has had a knock on effect on the recording schedule for their new album. A replacement has been found and the band are getting back on track, but they have had to delay plans to visit the UK until next year. We hope to bring you news of new dates with Presto Ballet in due course.

As a result, and after discussion with arK, we have decided not to go ahead with the proposed gigs at Norwich on 1st September, Swindon on 2nd September, and London on 3rd September. The shows at Maltby and Bilston on 4th and 5th September will go ahead with arK, as planned, and support for these shows will now be provided by Dec Burke’s Destroy All Monsters.

Tickets for Maltby are available from the Classic Rock Society by phone on 01327 310088 and online at http://www.classicrocksociety.co.uk/ Tickets for Bilston are available from http://www.therobin.co.uk/

Karnataka update

Auditions have been going well for Karnataka and they hope to announce their replacement keyboard player and drummer very soon. However, in order for the new line up to give their best live the band and the CRS have agreed to postpone the remaining gig at Wath on 17th July. As soon as we have the details of the new members we will announce them here, and new dates for The Luminaire and Montgomery Hall will follow. In the meantime the band are very keen to hear from anyone interested in auditioning for the roles of lead or backing vocalist. Anyone interested should contact karnataka@ntlworld.com

Tickets for both shows will be valid for the rearranged dates, but refunds are also available from the point of purchase.

Karnataka Gigs

We regret to announce that due to the sudden changes in line-up that occurred last week, Karnataka will be unable to play at the Luminaire on Friday 11th June. Their appearance there is therefore postponed. We are currently trying to find a replacement for this date and will advise you before the end of the week whether there will still be a gig on this date.

The Karnataka gig at Wath on Saturday 17th July is under review and a decisioin will be made on that in a couple of weeks time.
